SUMMARY: The primary role of the Senior Risk Consultant Engineer is to provide professional Risk Engineering and Risk Management advice to internal underwriting and claims staff and Risk Management to customers as well as growing fee income for Zurich Resilience Solutions.
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
To deliver consistent delivery of Risk Engineering service.
1. The position requires a strong customer focus, incorporating the provision of timely and accurate technical support, aligned to the varying needs of internal and external customers. Experience in Account Management is preferred.
2. Conduct risk assessments across a broad spectrum of industries, with a key focus on property risk control in the semi-conductor industry essential. A broad range of industry and service sectors is also advantageous, to analyse information and present conclusions in the form of written technical assessments in line with the International Risk Engineering Service Standards.
3. A requirement for exceptional customer engagement and presentation skills is a key focus in the role of a service provider to internal and external customers and the incumbent must be highly responsive to the changing needs of all stakeholders

Knowledge
1. General Industry experience essential, with prior involvement in Risk Management, Loss Evaluation, Hazard Analysis, Occupational Health and Safety or other insurance related areas highly regarded. Of specific importance is a strong understanding and prior experience of the Semi-Conductor.
2. Familiar with cleanroom operations, semiconductor manufacturing process, and semiconductor supply chain.
3. In-depth knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes is essential for identifying potential hazards and assessing associated risks. This includes understanding processes such as lithography, etching, deposition, doping, packaging, and testing.
4. Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes, including lithography, etching, deposition, and wafer testing. Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and equipment is also essential.
5. Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to semiconductor manufacturing is essential for conducting comprehensive risk assessments and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS

5. Strong skills in questioning to develop understanding and gain credibility as a subject matter expert to achieve bid opportunities, present individual or packaged solutions, and gain commitments from our customers
6. Have a good command of NFPA and/or FM code requirements for mitigation of property damage and business interruption exposures associated with semiconductor industry.
Qualification:
1. Risk assessment and hazard analysis experience of, Property, Natural Perils, and potentially general OH&S.
2. Proven experience in a risk engineering/management related activity such as Risk Engineering, Risk Consulting, or Loss Control Engineering role.
3. Strong understanding of risk management principles, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
4. Effective communication skills are necessary for documenting risk assessment findings, developing risk mitigation plans, and preparing reports for customers, partners, brokers, and underwriters.
5. Ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, safety professionals, and other stakeholders across different departments or organizations to gather relevant information, assess risks holistically, and implement appropriate controls.
